With 15 years of recording
experience, and set up with some of the best equipment, Daniel Heïkalo
has earned a reputation for exceptional and meticulous skills as a producer
and recording engineer, from small jobs such as audition tapes, to much
larger projects.
He has several artists' productions to his credit, with his ability to range from classical - choirs, chamber music, and voice recitals - to pop, rock, electronic and country styles. His standards are high: excellence of sound and achieving the desired quality of mood and atmosphere are top priorities. A remarkably keen sense of hearing gives him the ability to discern the finest detail, bringing transparency and dimension to a recording. This guy knows the tricks needed to create the fine balance of a high-class sound, with all of the elements in the right places. As a session player, Heikalo is occasionally called upon as a versatile and skilled back-up instrumentalist for some of the productions. Daniel also works in association with composer/MIDI programmer Christian Wood of Halifax to create world class electronic tracks and very complex mixes and soundtrack works. They also do top quality audio restoration, the "cleaning-up" and transfer to CD of old tapes and records. |
